Horror vacui: beautiful replete Worlds built with ink by Mattias Adolfsson

Mattias Adolfsson is a freelance Illustrator. He lives in Sweden, in a small town called Sigtuna
just outside of Stockholm. Mattias has worked in the Game industry and with 3danimation prior to going analog in 2007.

Mattias, where do you get your inspiration?

The inspiration just pops up when I relax my brain for a second or two mostly when I’m on the road though.

Which is the reletioship and influence beetween your cultural backgorund (country, studies, etc.) and your artworks?

No idea, I try not to thing that much about the things I do, it might disturbe the circles.

What are you much focused in?

Putting as much ink to paper
as I possible can.

Have you encountered any difficulties when you first started your art/freelance career?

Sure, getting paid enough is a costant struggle but I should not be complaining I’m able to do what I love the most.

Over these years, what is the most important thing you have learnt from your profession?

That you are not as bad as you think.

Do you think that a creative job is just creativity or it’s discipline too?

It’s both but I could use some more discipline for sure.

Are you currently work on new projects?

Yes, yes and yes this year has started ok.
