Disrupting natural order: inner landscapes by Johan Nobell

Johan Nobell‘s fantastical scenic landscapes depict ominous and haunting carriers of moods and feelings. Strange formations populate the landscapes as monsters grow, evolve, and transform to conquer surrounding areas.

Johan Nobell’s own “Uncanny Valley” is a peripheral position in the outskirts of civilization, right where sweeping nature takes over. The monstrous objects can be recognized as organs disrupting natural order. In “Uncanny Valley“, these organs are compound and the line between nightmares and lucidity has been erased.
